The Frenchman or Remi Enigma, was known on Instagram for his extreme stunts in skyscrapers, cranes and bridges all over the world.

Just a few days before his death, Remi had posted a photo of the city’s skyline at night, from Times Square, captioned “Hong Kong” followed by a heart emoji.

Following the news of his death, the post has now been filled with tributes.

“Sad news no one ever wants to hear about a fellow explorer,” one wrote.

Someone said: “Bro went out doing what he loved! He lived his life fully. Not many can say that.”

On Thursday the daredevil managed to sneak into the 68-storey Tregunter Tower, after telling a security guard he was visiting a friend, South China Morning Post reported.

Security officers launched a search for the man after the resident denied knowing him.

CCTV footage shows the thrill-seeker making his way up using the lift to the 49th floor before taking the stairs to the top penthouse.

He was last seen frantically calling for help, knocking on the window, moments before his fall.

Police believe Remi was trapped outside the penthouse and was trying to get someone’s attention.

Security officers looking for Remi later found a hatch to the roof open.

Authorities eventually rushed to the area but the man was confirmed dead at the scene.

Police found the man’s camera at the scene which contained videos of his other risky stunts.

Gurjit Kaur, the hostel’s owner where Lucidi was staying, described him as a “friendly and humble guy.”

He said: “He was healthy and fit and happy-faced. I feel very sad.”

While a worker who claimed he spoke to Lucidi said: “He told me he was going to hike a mountain when I asked where he was going.

“He said he wanted to hike a lot when he was here.”
