Australian quick Spencer Johnson set The Hundred alight overnight with a stunning spell of bowling for the Oval Invincibles while on tournament debut.
The London side crushed Manchester Originals by 94 runs with the visitors restricted to just 92 runs at the Oval in chase of 5-186.
And it was Adelaide 27-year-old Johnson at the centre of it with an incredible 20-ball spell that saw him take 3-1.
It is the least amount of runs ever conceded in a 20-ball spell in the Hundred, beating Mujeeb ur Rahman’s six runs.

Johnson provided a brutal demolition job of the Originals’ tail with Usama Mir, Tom Hartley and Josh Little all dismissed within eight balls from the quick.
The left-armer has been enjoying a breakout 2023 having starred late in the BBL season for the Brisbane Heat, who made the final after a shock win streak he helped spearhead.
Notably, Johnson took 3-28 against the Sydney Sixers to help put Heat in the final.
His rise has been noted by national selectors who this week picked him in Australia’s T20 squad for the tour of South Africa.
