The Silver Ferns admit they “didn’t react quick enough” in their 10-goal game one loss, but they’ve pledged to show more fight in game two in Brisbane on Sunday.

The match is the final game of the Australian Constellation Cup leg before series shifts across the ditch next week.

The Brisbane clash will be a celebration of Australian netball as the nation brings up a record 500th international match.

The Diamonds are tipped to make changes to the starting seven that claimed game one 50-40, after the “surprising” call to start Cara Koenen.

Sophie Garbin is tipped for more game time, Sophie Dwyer didn’t see any action in game one, while midcourter Paige Hadley has been given the all clear from her knee injury suffered against the Ferns on Thursday.

For New Zealand, the visitors will have to find more firepower in attack – with Grace Nweke making a late charge to prove her fitness.

The star hasn’t played since injuring her knee in the World Cup pool games – but trained strongly on Saturday.

Star defender Karin Burger said it was “back to the drawing board” for the visitors before game two.

“Everything we said they were going to do is what they did – we didn’t react properly or quick enough,” she said.

“We know what we need to fix – it’s about doing it.”
