Bijan Robinson, NFL scores, Patriots vs Bills, Lamar Jackson, Detroit Lions, Bill Belichick 300 wins, Mac Jones, reaction, NFL fantasy scores

The Detroit Lions’ recent hot run came to a screeching halt against Baltimore, with Ravens QB Lamar Jackson producing perhaps the best individual performance in the NFL this season.

Chicago turned to rookie Tyson Bagent from little-known Division II school Shepherd in the absence of Justin Fields, with the unheralded 23-year-old leading his team to a much-needed win.

New England have recorded a shocking upset win over their division rivals, with maligned QB Mac Jones orchestrating an epic game-winning drive in the final minute.

While, Falcons coach Arthur Smith has caught the ire of fantasy football owners everywhere, after a puzzling decision to barely use stud rookie running back Bijan Robinson

FORMER MVP DISMANTLES IN-FORM LIONS

The 4-2 Ravens’ match-up with 5-1 Lions shaped up as being one of the games of the weekend, as the fourth-best defense clashed with Detroit’s fourth-best offense.

However, the ‘blockbuster’ was over by halftime with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ offense able to do what they liked, racing out to a 28-0 lead at the main break.

Jackson had a whopping 207 passing yards in the first quarter before slowing down in the second half but the damage was done, as the Ravens cruised to a 38-6 win.

The 2020 MVP was outstanding, recording 357 passing yards and 3TD’s through the air in addition to 36 rushing yards and a TD on the ground.

The 38 put on recorded by Jackson and the Ravens elevated him into rarefied air, as he’s now third behind Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady for points per game by a starting QB in the Super Bowl era.

While the Baltimore offense deserves plenty of credit, the stars may have been their defense, who held the Lions to just six points, ending a run from Detroit of 15 straight games scoring 15 points or more.

“If this is the vision unfolding of the new look Ravens offense led by Lamar Jackson, with the way their defense has played pretty much all year, that is a scary thought for the rest of the teams in the AFC,” Fox NFL’s Greg Olsen said post-game.

JONES ANSWERS CRITICS ON BELICHICK’S RECORD DAY

The Patriots have arguably been the most-maligned team in the NFL this season, with QB Mac Jones and legendary coach Bill Belichick copping most, if not all of the criticism.

At 1-5, the Pats were desperate for a win to save their season but not many expected that win to come against the Buffalo Bills.

In a seesawing game, New England led 22-10 with seven minutes left in the game before Buffalo scored two quick touchdowns to go ahead 25-22.

Enter Jones and RB Rhamondre Stevenson, who moved the Patriots 75 yards in 1:31, including a 34-yard catch-and-run to open the drive.

Jones would find TE Mike Gesicki from one-yard out to give the Patriots the lead with 18 seconds on the clock.

The Patriots defense were then able to force a fumble from Josh Allen when time expired to clinch victory.

For Jones, it was a performance which showed the league why the Patriots took him in the first round of the NFL Draft and at the very least, has lengthened the ‘starting QB’ leash around him for the time being.

The win against Buffalo was Belichick’s 300th career win, which makes him the third head coach in history to achieve the feat after Hall of Fame members Don Shula and George Halas.

CALLS FOR COACH TO BE ‘FIRED’ AFTER SHOCK RB DECISION

Atlanta escaped with a crucial, hard-fought 16-13 win against a division rival in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Falcons fans and fantasy football owners all over the world are still calling for the head of coach Arthur Smith over his puzzling use of Bijan Robinson.

Running back Robinson, the fourth-overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, has been a bright spot on an inconsistent team this season, showing off his versatility not only as a runner, but a pass catcher as well.

However, against the Bucs, Robinson was only on the field for 10 snaps and touched the ball just once despite not being on any injury reports leading into the game.

Reports have suggested Robinson was battling an illness, however fantasy owners weren’t to know this, so were left in the dark completely.

Many on social media site X were frustrated with the Falcons’ usage of Robinson as well as the team’s lack of correspondence over the running back’s health.

FOX sideline reporter Kristina Pink said Smith told her that Robinson wasn’t “feeling so great”.

In the end, the Falcons won without Robinson’s help, but this coupled with Smith’s bizarre usage of stud TE Kyle Pitts, it’s clear the Atlanta coach isn’t exactly a popular NFL figure in fantasy football circles.
