Despite the denial from the Chinese embassy in the US about providing weaponry, the officials, speaking anonymously, revealed that President Joe Biden has raised this issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping.The assistance from China is said to be filling key gaps in Russia’s defense production and aiding Moscow in its significant military expansion, surpassing earlier expectations.
US officials view persuading China to cease its support for Russia’s military industrial base as a pivotal move to help Ukraine in the conflict. The Chinese embassy spokesperson emphasized the importance of maintaining normal trade relations between China and Russia and urged the US to refrain from criticizing their bilateral relationship.
