EXPERT TIPS

Geoff Ogilvy: Xander Schauffele

“I think he’s in incredible form. There’s a bit of chat around him that he can’t really close the deal. He seems to be up there a lot and hasn’t really won a tournament for a while. But this guy’s one of the best players in the world clearly. He’s played seven tournaments this year, five of them are top ten, he’s been in the mix. He’s the sort of guy who’s just ready to win the Masters and I think it might be his time.”

Paul Gow: Matt Fitzpatrick

“He’s playing solid this year. He’s just one of those guys who flies under the radar. They say he doesn’t putt it that well, every time I watch him he putts the eyes out of it. He drives the ball extremely straight, but I like his distance control with his irons. If he gets the ball on the fairway, I think he can control it and get it into the spots that he needs to. He’s a major champion so he feels comfortable now at 29 years of age, this is where he needs to be.”
