Fazlur Rehman, born in 1953 in Dera Ismail Khan, assumed leadership of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI) in 1980 at the age of 27 following his father’s demise. In the upcoming elections, he is contesting for seats in NA-44 (formerly NA-38), Dera Ismail Khan, and NA-265 Pishin, Balochistan.
