The Brisbane Lions will travel to Western Australia this weekend to face the Fremantle Dockers at Perth Stadium.
The Dockers (8-11, 89.0%), are all but done in the finals race, playing for pride in front of their home fans after a less than stellar 2023.
Meanwhile, the Lions (13-6, 125.2%), still reeling from last week’s shock loss to the Gold Coast Suns, will slide into second spot on the AFL ladder if they emerge victorious.

And that potential top-two finish could be the difference between a grand final appearance and another season of disappointment, given the Lions’ remarkable Gabba record where they’ve made their home ground a fortress.
