Man accused of pretending to be mannequin to steal jewellery from shop in Poland | World News

A man has been accused of pretending to be a mannequin in a shop window in the Polish capital Warsaw in order to steal jewellery.

CCTV images showed the 22-year-old standing still and holding a bag in the window inside a shopping centre as it closed.

Police said “when he felt safe” he went “hunting” and robbed a jewellery stand.

He is accused of returning another day and eating at one of the bars in the shopping centre, before slipping into a clothing store “to exchange his clothes for new ones”.

The man is then said to have stopped at the restaurant again “to eat another meal”.
