Trade news, Dylan Stephens, wants to leave Sydney, North Melbourne deal, contract, player movement

Sydney Swans winger Dylan Stephens has officially requested a trade out of the club.

While it was reported that Stephens did not formally ask for a trade at his exit meeting earlier in the week, foxfooty.com.au understands the formal trade request arrived at the club on Thursday morning.

The former number five pick has played 43 games across four seasons in the harbour city, including last years Grand Final.

He has played 13 games this year for the Swans, and was omitted from the side‘s Elimination Final loss to Carlton.

The explosive midfielder has often found himself starved of midfield opportunities that saw the Swans take the Norwood product so high up in the draft.

Foxfooty.com.au understands that Stephens has a multi-year offer, believed to be up to four years, on the table from North Melbourne.
